In September 2025, specialized Japanese gardeners—supported by the French Association of Japanese Gardens—are bringing new life to Isamu Noguchi’s masterpiece, carefully reviving the vegetation to match the artist’s original vision. This beautifully illustrated volume retraces the creation of the garden and its pivotal role in Noguchi’s career, blending Japanese tradition with modern sculpture.

The UNESCO Courier, a window on the world
The UNESCO Courier was founded in 1948 as one of the world's first international journals. More than seventy years later, this emblematic magazine continues to pursue its original mission: to present the world through local perspectives, to encourage reflection on major contemporary topics - such as the ethics of artificial intelligence, the effects of climate change, or issues relating to legacies of the past - and to provide a forum for cultural actors, intellectuals, and scientists from around the globe.
Today, the magazine is published quarterly in all six official languages of the Organization: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Spanish, and Russian.
Today more than ever, it is recommended reading for anyone who wishes to understand the world in all its diversity and complexity.
