This postcard depicts the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In September 2015, the United Nations adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which sets out 17 goals to be achieved in order to transform the world, leaving no one behind. These SDGs, formulated with the active participation of UNESCO, cover a wide range of issues, from education for all to the building of sustainable cities and communities. UNESCO is working towards the achievement of the SDGs across all areas of its mandate by implementing initiatives in education, science, culture and communication. By creating the conditions for dialogue between cultures and civilisations, we can build peace and prosperity for people and the planet. And, by choosing this SDG postcard, the transformation is well underway!
